Thomas S. Coleman

THOMAS S. COLEMAN, is a Partner with extensive experience handling a variety of commercial and defense litigation.  He has represented both insurance companies and their insureds in a wide-ranging variety of complex contractual and tort disputes.  His experience includes the investigation and handling of high-value inland marine losses, builder’s risk and property claims, and product liability and other corporate litigation.  He also advises clients on contractual risk transfer and related recovery considerations, and has handled numerous fraud investigations, which he takes special pride in.

Tom’s aggressive, yet always practical approach to handling litigation focuses on discovering and leveraging the opposing party’s pressure points, while simultaneously acknowledging and advising his clients on their own exposure.  Tom has litigated cases, both large and small, in the Pennsylvania state and federal courts for over ten (10) years, with a track record of aggressive, practical counsel.

Prior to joining the firm in 2016, Tom worked in the Philadelphia office of large New Jersey-based firm and with a local high-end commercial litigation boutique.  After law school, and while completing his Masters in Business degree at night, he clerked at the trial and appellate court levels in his home state of Maryland.

  • Juris Doctorate, Magna Cum Laude and Masters in Business Administration degrees from The University of Baltimore, 2001/2003; Associate Editor of the Law Review.
  • Bachelor of Arts degree from Franklin & Marshall, 1998.

Past and Present Bar Admissions and Associations

Tom resides in New Jersey’s Haddonfield Borough with his wonderful wife and three strong-willed young boys. He relishes the everyday challenge being a parent demands, and therefore, actively participates in schooling and athletic enrichment programs.  He also strives to embody, for his boys, the mens sana in corpore sano philosophy that he learned as a boy through a vigorous, if recreational, athletic routine.
